Fiji Netballers In Illawarra

THE Fijian open national netball team will take on Illawarra's division two State League side at Fred Finch Park tonight.

The match, which starts at 7.30pm, forms part of a Fijian tour as they prepare for the 13th South Pacific Games, which start in Samoa later this month.

Further down the track, Fiji have their sights on the world championships, which will be held in Auckland in November.

Fiji are in a pool with Jamaica, Singapore and the Cook Islands for netball's showcase event.

Illawarra are struggling in division two, sitting in second last spot on the premiership ladder.
